GVA2’s 10th anniversary!
Event
GVA2
Thursday 17 October 2024
Restaurant Le Dorian
The GVA2 Association celebrated its 10th anniversary in beautiful company at Le Dorian restaurant.
Who would have believed this? For 10 years now, our association has been working tirelessly to promote Geneva’s image by leading or partnering projects, and facilitating others by advising or putting people in touch with entities pursuing similar goals. But of course, our “core business” is to organize discussions on a huge variety of subjects, all of which have Geneva in common.
During the evening, our President Adam Said reviewed some of our activities, particularly the events organized over the past 10 years. Since 2014, we had been able to offer 47 themes, welcomed 124 speakers including 2 national councillors, 10 state councillors, a chancellor, 7 administrative councillors for 1727 participants including 1 former federal councillor and a Paralympic champion at the Paris Olympics.
In their speeches, Nathalie Fontanet, Fabrice Eggly and Serge Michel emphasized our events as forums for reflection, useful for taking the pulse of society, where local solutions are found, where the public interest is at the heart of discussions, and where dialogue, contradiction and pragmatic ideas are privileged.
Many thanks to them for their words, and to all our members who take part in our activities throughout the year, and whose contributions enrich the debates while competing for relevance.
Thanks to our committee, Philippe Jacquemoud, Guerric Canonica, Tatjana Darani and Fabrice Eggly for their commitment and unfailing support.
And a special thank you to our Chairman, Adam Said, for his confidence and his boundless, communicative and always positive energy.
We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful city, and so happy to be able to contribute to its development!
